In just 1 more month, I will be a published author! It’s a surreal experience, to be sure. July is going to fly by for me; I’ll be busy with lots of prep work and basic life stuff. However, you may not have to wait until August to read my debut, The Wind at Oak Hollow; I’m now accepting signups for ARC copies.
If you’re not familiar with the term, an ARC is an advanced reader copy. A handful of lucky individuals are given a free copy of the book. The hope is that they will enjoy it and tell their friends about it. And maybe, just maybe, they’ll leave a review.
Reviews are the bread and butter for both indie and traditionally published authors. Reviews contribute to a book’s success. Even though it’s not a requirement, many readers thoughtfully leave reviews on their favorite sites (Goodreads, Amazon, Apple, etc.) or even their blogs. So, there is a cost benefit to giving away a few copies.
For me, it’s more than that. I’m just happy to share my novel with you all. It gives me joy knowing that others might know, see, and feel with me and my characters.
If you’re curious about the Realm of Light series and appreciate dark, epic fantasy, or if you just like free books, you can sign up here for an eBook ARC: https://forms.gle/Lj5hcFurNaYuu3MB7.
Thanks to you all. I appreciate my readers, supporters, and the indie community. Your encouragement has carried me this far.
Happy reading.
