Professor knows what's up!

The last few months have been hectic and a bit heartbreaking for my family. We lost two of our sweet kitties in short succession. Cyrano and Lyr were very dear to us and our household is still in mourning.

But life goes on and we have a large and busy household. As exhausted and sad as I am, there's still so much to be grateful for.

Cyrano and Lyr's littermate, Aramis, is still with us and we were able to celebrate his 17th birthday in April. That little black fluff ball is still bring us so much joy. He's the self-appointed story time cat, and I don't know what we would do without him. Hopefully, we bring him just as much joy. On top of that, Aramis's favorite boy also just turned 7!

Life is full of ups and downs but I'm holding on to those ups as best I can.

In the book publishing corner of my life, things are definitely in full bloom. Book 3, Kingdom of Fire, will be coming out on June 3rd! I'm excited to show you it's lovely new cover, illustrated by the incredibly gifted artist Tanya Demchenkova, who also created book covers for The Wind at Oak Hollow and A Crow in the Canyon. I'm so lucky to count her as a collaborator in my author's journey. What do you think?
