A Summer Tradition

I'm back!!! Although you probably didn't notice I was gone. Even on the Internet, I'm still a bit of an introvert.

Where was I? Camping in California. Every year, my husband and I take the kids on an adventure. We try to jazz it up, pick a new site to see or a new activity to do, but we always, always seem to gravitate to the lovely beach town of Carpinteria, CA. This year, we spent almost a week there out of our 2-week extravaganza and I'm already missing the seals and salt-sea air.

It's good to be in a place that brings peace to your bones, even if it's only for a little while.

While I was gone, the world was still moving forward, for good or for ill, and now I'm desperately forcing myself to return to all of my routines. Thankfully, there are still a few exciting things going on to stave off the boredom.
